New return points for cottage and leisure properties in Tingvoll and Kristiansund

New return points for cottage and leisure properties in Tingvoll and Kristiansund

ReMidt IKS is in the process of introducing full source sorting at all return points for cabin and leisure subscribers. Now there is a new arrangement in Tingvoll and Kristiansund.

Why?
Good source sorting is the key to more material recycling, which means that waste is used as a raw material in new production. Both national and international requirements mean that all residents must contribute to more and more of the waste being sorted at source - for the benefit of the environment.
ReMidt IKS believes that customers should have as good opportunities to sort waste at the cabin as when they are at home. Therefore, containers are now being put out for plastic packaging, cardboard and paper, glass and metal packaging, textiles and residual waste. In Tingvoll, there are also cans for food waste at the return points - it will come in Kristiansund next year.

Worth to notice:
Plastic packaging must be delivered in a closed bag and placed in the container together with cardboard and paper. The plastic bags are sorted out after the waste has been collected.
Food waste must also be delivered in an attached bag, you can use ordinary carrier bags. The plastic bags will be removed when the waste is at our treatment plant.

At some of our return points, lights and cameras can be set up to make it more pleasant for you and easier for us to ensure that there is good order at the return point. In addition, local agreements have been entered into everywhere with sports teams and local businesses regarding supervision, snow removal and spreading.

When?
The new containers have already been put out. The old cans and containers will be brought in in the near future.

Where?
The new return points are located with the intention that as many people as possible should pass a return point when they leave the cabin or when they go to the store. For some cottage users, the new scheme means that there will be a longer way to the return point. For all cottage owners, this means better sorting options. For the environment, it means a lot.

New return points can be found at these places:

Kristiansund:
Flatset, by Flatsetbakken 58.
Reinsvikholmen

Tingvoll:
Kvisvik, by workshop, Kvisvikvegen 414
Aspøya, behind Bunnpris towards the sea, Arnvika 70
Kanestraum, crossing Langøysundvegen / Straumsnesvegen
Tingvollvågen, by the recycling station
Meisingset, by the petrol station, Rottåsvegen 4

Recycling station
All waste that is not to be in the containers must be delivered to one of our recycling stations - two in Tingvoll and one in Kristiansund. If it is more convenient for you, you can rather use one of the other recycling stations we have in ReMidt. It is not permitted to store waste outside the containers at the return points.

The location of our return points will be continuously assessed with a view to making it work in the best possible way for you as a customer and our carriers.

ReMidt IKS conducts renovation for cottage and leisure properties at cost. This means that the waste collection fee in its entirety goes to operating the scheme and that the accounts do not go in plus or minus.
