Beach cleaning

Beach cleaning

As in previous years, it is possible to deliver beach cleaning waste free of charge ReMidt. However, this requires that you use our yellow stand cleaning bags AND that you have registered the promotion on ryddenorge.no. You can hand them in at the nearest recycling station.

To deliver the waste, there are three possibilities:

  1. Deliver the bags at one of our recycling stations. Contact our operations operator at the recycling station to register the number of bags or weight.
  2. Put yellow sacks at a separate residual waste bin on the day of emptying for residual waste. Then our car registers the number of bags.
  3. If you are planning major clean-up operations, we can deliver the container at the agreed time and place. We must be notified of this no later than three days before the container is to be placed out.

Stand-clearing waste must not reserved at the return point for leisure renovation or other places not described above.

Before cleaning, you must register your cleaning action on ryddenorge.no.

What is beach cleaning?

Every year, thousands of kilos of waste go astray both along the coast, in lakes and along watercourses in Norway. The Norwegian Environment Agency has a subsidy scheme that allows you to clean up such waste and deliver it free of charge ReMidt IKS, as long as you use yellow beach cleaning bags and deliver in accordance with the guidelines.

To prevent further littering, it is crucial that collected waste is delivered in line with one of the three alternatives above, and not stored elsewhere.
