REDu and Trainee schemes

In the public waste industry, we are good at collaboration. One of the major collaborations we have put in place in recent years is something we call REDu. An acronym that plays on the words renovation and education. REdu is our joint competence boost, where we work together to get more young people to choose a career in this exciting and forward-looking industry!

Every year, REDu advertises summer jobs, where the aim is that you as a student can get 4-8 weeks with full pay, relevant experience in your field and insight into one of Norway's most indispensable industries. IN ReMidt we have had four REDu students in summer jobs for us since 2020:

• Zsofia was with us in 2020 and worked on our sustainability strategy. Following the summer job, she wrote a master's thesis on waste management in the future.

• Hedvig was with us in 2021 and started the work of building up ReMidt his Instagram profile. Subsequently, she wrote a master's thesis within the use of social media and communication in close collaboration with ReMidt.

• Magnus was with us in 2021 and worked on obtaining basic figures and proposals for efficiencies within our complex logistics. Several of his conclusions have subsequently been used to change the way we operate our logistics.

• Marte has worked with us from summer 2022, and has continued the work that Hedvig started the previous year on our social media.

• Daniel worked for us in the summer of 2023 through REdu. He worked on digitization and automation of our work processes.

Trainee team

ReMidt is a member of the Trainee program of Trainee-trøndelag, and has an ambition to have at least one Trainee at all times in the company.

As a trainee with us, you get a unique opportunity to start your professional career immediately after completing your education. You get to work on tasks that are relevant to your education for two years with full pay and normal working conditions. In addition, resources are set aside for a social and professional network with others who are part of the trainee scheme in other companies.

This is a unique opportunity to get to know an important and large industry, as well as an interesting and diverse business life in central Norway.
