With effect from 1 April 2021, a new waste disposal regulation was introduced in Oppdal municipality. The regulations were adopted by the municipal council in Oppdal 21.11.2020 in case 113/2020.

The waste collection regulations set the framework for which services are to be offered to the inhabitants of the municipality. It is worth noting for Oppdal municipality that there will now be a couple of new discounts available:

• Neighbor sharing discount: If you work with one or more neighbors to collaborate on sharing cans, everyone in the collaboration is given a 15% discount on the fee.
• Composting discount: Anyone who runs home composting, and who has participated in a course under the auspices of ReMidt, can get a 15% discount on the waste collection fee after entering into an agreement on home composting. Those who have such an arrangement will not get their own bin for food waste. Separate rules apply to the composting discount for those who have cooperation / neighbor sharing
