Mariann started as an apprentice in the waste disposal company HAMOS in 2007, after completing Sales and Service at VGS in the same year. She got a permanent job at HAMOS after she took a certificate in the office profession in 2009. In 2015 she took a certificate in the Recycling subject. Today, she is Team Leader for invoicing in the customer center in ReMidt.

Today, I am responsible for the system in which we in the customer center do most of our tasks. In addition, I have worked for the last couple of years to streamline and automate work tasks that we do in the customer center. We have achieved a lot here, which we benefit greatly from today. We still have many development plans, and that is what makes my job both exciting and very rewarding!

What are the most important reasons why you want to come to work every day?

I always look forward to meeting my pleasant colleagues, and I also feel that I have meaningful tasks and a role that motivates me. The same goes for ReMidt its role both in the industry and in the "big picture" - we have done a lot in recent years that are of great importance to the environment, and that motivates!

What thoughts do you have about the industry you work in?

Working in the waste industry is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to good attitudes among all citizens throughout Norway. Focusing on waste reduction and recycling, and helping to make reuse more popular, is important! Of course, we also have an important role to play in being able to reach the goals that have been set both nationally and in an EU context, and which will help us to make the future environment good again.
