Ecopro has been making food waste and sludge into fertilizer and biogas for 12 years and is today one of the leading biogas factories in Europe.

Biogas is currently used as fuel for the buses in Trondheim and fertilizer is delivered to local agriculture and replaces large amounts of mineral fertilizer.

As the owner of Ecopro has ReMidt IKS granted Ecopro exclusive rights for 20 years. This is to ensure the inhabitants predictable and sustainable solutions for food waste and sludge. The decision was made by the Supervisory Board in ReMidt IKS November 9, 2020. Read the decision here.
